From the center of Texas and the heart of the Nation

I'm sure the NSA is adding this to my file as I write...even before I post, probably. While I regularly sweep my computer for viruses and trojans and backdoor attempts to get me to buy "Cialis" or some other ED medication I'm sure the NSA programs are more sophisticated than my protection schemes. But all that is necessary for Evil to triumph is for good men to say nothing, to coin a phrase by plagerizing.

How has MY America come to this state where peace activist's are on terrorist watchlists of the F.B.I.? I thought we got rid of that crap back when Nixon was shitting on the Constitution. I can even understand how Resident bush was able to steal the 2000 selection. The audacity was just too blatant and unexpected from a man who had failed for so much of his life. I could understand how Texans had elected him governor. The governor of Texas is mostly a ceremonial position with only the power of a bully pulpit. Even then he did manage to backrupt us, illegally creating a deficit and foisting the first unfunded version of "No Child Left Behind." I can't understand how he managed to steal the 2004 election. Actually, after learning about black box voting/de-voting machines and promises of having Ohio vote delivered to him, I can. What I can't understand is Kerry's calm acceptance.

Oh, sure Kerry's found his voice now, asking for donations with every claim of indignation. Hell, there only seem to be about five actual Democrats in congress. Thanks to DeLay, my reps aren't just Republicans, they are rabid NEO-CON role models. My congressional rep is Cornyn whose main funding comes from the oil companies, which should be enough, except that his second main sorce of funding comes from SBC (now AT&T). Can I ever really expect him to have my bests interests in mind when he legislates? I know the oil companies and AT&T sure don't. I pay my phone bill on line on the day before it's due. The first time I have to pay it after the SBC AT&T merger the website is down for two days and I get charged a late fee. I paid the day after it was due. First time since I started service in 1986. Not that I think it's a conspiracy, it's just that customer service acted as if my history didn't count. the five dollars was more important than my satisfaction.

Now, into the cirle file..
